It taught me how to take a step back and breathe when I get overwhelmed. It taught me that the students honestly just want to know that YOU know and care about them. It taught me that parents honestly just want to know that YOU know and care about their child. It taught me how to dig deep and find the good in EVERY child even when it was hard to find sometimes. To say that it was emotional and heart wrenching would be an understatement. Saying goodbye to the classroom I taught in for 11 years was extremely difficult.
